Skylers new Titi

Our little Staycation

This past week Victor had 4 days off. So we decided to do something fun. We didnt have enough money to go any where like Vegas... (which was our origianl plan) but we had enough to do something. So we decided to go down town and stay in a hotel. We stayed at the Shiloh Inn where the boys did alot of swimming. If we would have just stayed at the hotel the whole time and swam, that would have been good enough for them. While we were on our "staycation" we went and saw movies, shopped at the gateway, went to arcades visited Gardner Village, went to the brick oven and found a jumping place. We also came home with one extra..... we broke down and bought the boys a hampster. HE is the cutest thing, he is called a robo dwarf, so little. The boys named him Rhino (from Bolt, if you havent seen it i highly recomend it)
We did have a bit of a family trajedy on this little trip. We lost a very important and very sacred family heirloom. Twenty four years ago my mommy made me a blanket. I had it my whole life. Infact most of you have probably seen it. I never attended a sleep over or girls camp with out it. I loved it. In fact i still slept with it all the way up until skyler was about a year old. Then he discovered it. After that it became his Titi. He loved it and developed the "need" that i once had for it. Well when we got home on friday we realized we were missing something. We tore the house apart and then i realized i didnt remember grabbing it at the hotel. So i called them and asked them to repeat over and over emergency searches for it. They called over and over again saying they found nothing..........Skyler was upset and so was i, so skyler and i took a trip to the fabric store and tried our best to replace the titi. He picked everything out including the silk (which is the most important part) He slept with it last night and loved it... so hopefully he will be ok!

Its Finally Friday

Ever since about tuesday after school Damon has been asking me when is he done with school. I had to explain to him that school will never be over for the next 20 years. But I did get to explain to him that Friday is the last day of the week that he goes to school and then he gets two days off. So he has been looking forward to today for days now. We had a very rough morning getting to school. He was tired and ornery as usual but a soon as we got out of the car at the school he started screaming......"i dont want to go i am too tired" Im sure he scared the crap out of all of his class mates. I literally had to drag him to class (having flashbacks mom of kass) It wasnt pretty. Finally i got him to the door of his class and his teacher wrapped his arms around him and said " Oh Damon whats the matter?" Damon said "im so tired i want to go home" His teacher told him " you know what, i am pretty tired too lets go inside and sit on the story carpet and have a relaxing day after all we get out at 10:55" That really comforted damon and he went right in. THANKS MR SHAWCROFT! YOUR A LIFE SAVER!!!!

School Carnival

Damons school had a carnival tonight to raise some money. We needed to take a much needed snow cone break..... it was so hot!
