CARVING PUMPKINS

Carving Pumpkins was so fun this year. We have never done it as a family. Last year I just had the boys paint their pumpkins and before that they were too young. Victor has never carved a pumpkin either. So it was so funny to watch the three boys carve. Boys are so prissy. Damon kept saying "eww this is disgusting" while pulling a gross face.

The boys picked out such small pumpkins we couldn't do any of the cool designs that we bought at the store. So we just did old fashion jack o lantern faces

Getting Ready for Halloween

Today we took the boys out shopping for their halloween costumes. They were so excited to pick them out. After a long debate Damon finally decided to be Iron Man. He either wanted to be Iron Man, or one of the Transformers. But after seeing Iron Man he thought he was pretty dang cool. Skyler on the other hand has known for months that he was going to be Batman.


Then of course we had to go get our pumpkins. The boys wouldn't pick out anything big. They wanted their pumpkin at a size that they could carry it. So our front porch has a bunch of little tiny pumpkins. But whatever makes them happy. I think they are wanting to carve them tonight so of course i will be taking pictures of that as well.

Ok,Ok I know I have been slacking. I am so sorry! I barely have time to think these days.
So let me update everybody on our little life here in Georgia. Victor is still doing terrific in school. He took a test last tuesday and scored a 96%. He has another test tomorrow that he has been studying his butt off for. Which I know he will do great on. Damon had a fun and long week. On Monday he started Pre-K. His new schedule is 8:30-3:30. Very long day for him. But he is loving it. He gets to take the big boy bus to school. On wednesday he went on his first field trip to a childrens concert. He had so much fun. Skyler is having fun in his daycare class. He just moved up to a new class and he absolutely loves his new teacher. She is a sweet heart and loves him. My job is going well. Just work, work, work, work!!!!!!!

This weekend, on friday of course we did our traditional brownies and movie sleepover with daddy. Then on saturday I had to go to training classes all day long. Then we took Damon and Sky to play at McDonalds. On Sunday we all were a little sick so we layed low.
Today is Columbus day and I knew Victor would have the day off, so i took the day off too so we could all have an extra day to spend together. So we went to the park and took the boys to the Childrens Science Museum. It was so fun. The boys loved every second of it. We spent a good three hours there. It was great!!! It has been a wonderfuly long weekend (too bad its over already)

My new Job

Welcome to my Classroom (i am at work all week long, so i thought i would blog what i have been up to)


This is our class' wish list tree, on it there are items that we need for our class room that parents can donate.

This is my classroom. When I first took over this class, this room was a very sad mess

I have completely taken this room under my wing. It needed a teacher that cared. The room looked like that all the other teachers before had completely washed their hands of it. Before I came it was filthy and there were no toys. The class has 30+ students in it. Their ages range from first to sixth grade. Most of them are out of control and very hard to deal with. But with a little structure in their day they have become alot better.
In the last couple weeks my classroom has really come together. I have had many parents come to me and say that my room actually looks like a class room. And that they can tell a big difference. Its nice to hear and see that my hard work is paying off.

Sorry i dont have any pictures up. My kids just so aren't into pictures. But I will try to take some today. I thought I would atleast give you something to read.....

Yesterday was saturday (Our family fun day) and we took the boys to play at Monkey Joes. That is pretty much their favorite place in Georgia. They would go there every day if I let them. Its a great place for kids to get their wiggles out. After that we went to Red Robin. I had a birthday coupon for a free Gourmet Burger that I was really in the mood for. (So we celebrated a little early)
Damon was really ornery all day so after all that we came home and Damon and Daddy took a nap. Skyler wasn't going to take one so he and I went on a little mommy son date to walmart, for a little grocery shopping. Even though it was just walmart we had fun just the two of us.
When I got home Victor took the boys to Hollywood Video, while I stayed home and made sugar cookies for the boys. They didn't know I was making them so when they got home they were so suprised!

After all that, Skyler took a little nap (he was so grouchy...) while Daddy and Damon went on a little father son outing to the store. When they got home and Skyler woke up we went to the Movie Theatre to see Hellboy two. The boys loved it!!! Now that I have this new job, and we are all gone from each other all week with our crazy schedules, we ALL look forward to saturday!! On friday nights Victor, Damon & Skyler have a sleep over and mom makes brownies. Then Saturday is our fun day!!!!

Spirit Week

This week at school is Spirit Week. Today is Wacky-Tacky-Day. So here are the armenta boys, sporting some pretty awesome bow-hawks, their CTR ties, and long socks!!!!!

FYI- I HAVE NOT FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!!!

I got a new job about 2 1/2 weeks ago. So i have been very busy. I go to work at ten and work and i dont get home till seven. So, I promise that at least by this weekend, I will have some new pictures up.

Just be patient with me.... Im a working girl now!
