Happy Friday

Holy cow today was so freaking cold. It got to 36 degrees today. And it was wet and windy. Very, Very miserable. Well it is friday, our favorite day of the week. Because that means it is almost time to visit daddy. This weekend is when Victor Phases (which means he is in the next phase of his training where he has free weekends, and free weeknights and can wear civilian clothing on his time) We have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time. Well tonight around 5:30 I was making dinner for Damon and Skyler and my phone rang. When I answered it was Victor and he said "Ok, jump in the car and come get me" I was so confused, I said "huh?" and he told me that after he got out of class today they told them they could leave until 10:30 pm. What a wonderful Suprise!!!! I got the boys all ready, left my uncooked meal on the stove and drove as fast as the law would permit me, to pick him up. We went to Wendy's for dinner, then just went home and watched T.V. and relaxed with the boys. It was very nice. Tomorrow morning the boys and I get to wake up at 7:30 and go pick him up. And we get to keep him until 10:30 pm.
Today Victor scored a 90% on the second half of his Trauma test. He was so excited and so pleased with himself. He said most of the questions he was a little unsure of. But when they called out his score he was so happy.
Well, tomorrow Victor has his baptism at 1:30. So after we get home I am sure I will have pictures to blog & I will tell you all about it.
Love you all!

moms are cool too!

Because we weren't able to spend much time at the park we had alot of extra time to fill. So i thought it would be fun to make a tent in the living room. (Its even bigger and better then daddy's from new years eve) Right now the boys are having a "Jesus Marathon" with their new movies, in their awesome tent.

Blustery Day!

It was so cold today. I wasn't going to take the boys to the park but they finally talked me into it, on one condition. They had to wear their coats, hats and glove the entire time.
The city is in the process of installing this new slide. It is driving the boys completely insane. They are just so excited. Every time I would look over one or both of them would just be staring at it or circling it. They don't understand the concept of the caution tape.

It was too cold for me too play today so I observed from the car. Finally my little sugar britches came over and said "mommy i cold" and he climbed in with me while damon finished.

Its getting cold In San Anotnio

Damon loves to watch animal planet. One of the shows on there is the Jeff Corwin show. (similar to croc. hunter) All day long when I would call him by his name, he would get so angry with me and say " Mom, I am not Damon, I am Jeff Corwin." He even carried around a little rubber lizard with him all day. I took the boys to Walmart, and Damon started mouthing off to me and I said "Damon you better watch the way you are talking to me" he replied " mom I am Jeff Corwin" I don't care who the crap he is he will not speak to me that way. (Smart little brat) And of course since Damon has been someone else all day, Skyler had to be someone different as well. So after Damon would say "im not damon im jeff" Skyler would pitch in and say "im Jesus." (nana and papa shields bought them the animated book of mormon stories, so we watch those all day)
So, yeah, those little ones sure keep me going through the day. It is really starting to get cold here. Which is a bummer because our park visits are getting less and less fun because it is just to cold to play. Which means I have to start getting more creative on what we do during the day to pass the time. Oh that stresses me out. I want our days to be productive. I don't want the boys to pop movies in and out all day. Any ideas.... please let me know.

Can you say Dr. Armenta

Today Victor had a really hard test on Trauma. This test is so big and hard that they broke it up into to sections, one test today and the other on friday. He scored 92% YIPEE!!!!!! The class average was 77% and more than half failed. Only four people got A's and he was one of them. When I talked to him he was on cloud nine. I am so freaking proud of him. He is so amazing!!

As for the boys and I, we had a pretty good day. It was actually really cold today. It rained all day and we had to break out our coats. Due to it being so wet, we weren't able to go to the park. I took the boys to McDonalds instead. We had dinner there and then I let the boys loose. They played so hard.
I miss all of my family so much. I just wanted to tell all of you how much I love you. Feeling lonely is a constant emotion that i have been experiencing lately. I don't like it!

Love you all so much!

Family Day

Victor was given a full day pass today. We went and picked him up and 8:30 am, and were able to keep him until 6:00 pm. It was really nice to have him home for a few hours. We just took it nice and slow today. Stayed home and relaxed with the boys. Then for the last hour we took the boys to the park , being in the house all day almost made them scream.
I forgot to update the blog with Victors latest test score. He took another test on Friday and he scored an 83%. Half of the class failed and the class average was 72%. So he did very well. I am very proud of him. He has two more test coming up this week. One on tuesday, and the other on Friday.
More exciting news.... one of Victors battle buddies that he met on the first days in Georgia is getting baptized and has asked Victor to do it. In basic this guy was asking Victor a bunch of questions about our church and Victor answered them. Then Victor finally said why don't you just come to church with me this week. He went with him and hasn't missed one sunday since. About two weeks ago he came up to Victor and told him that he was getting baptized, and today he called Victor and said "im getting baptized next weekend and i was wondering if you would do it?" So next saturday we have a baptism to attend. We are very excited!

CUTE BROTHERS

damon is obsessed with sharks lately. He picked out this book, and ever national geographic video ever made on sharks from the library. I think it is safe to say that he and i are now experts on sharks. (he wanted me to show nana his shark book)

The boys and I have been working on this all week, we finally finished it today. They had so much fun creating their own little ocean.

Victors Test Score!

Victor had another big test yesterday morning. He has been studying for it before christmas break. He has made probably hundreds of flash cards for it and when i dropped him back at fort sam after christmas break he knew every single one of them. He has been so excited to take this test. Last night when he called me he sounded so bumbed. I asked his "so what did you get on your test?" He sadly said 88%. He was expecting to get an A. He said the answers were so confusing. On most of them he would have chosen every answer, most of them didn't sound like the wrong answer. But he told me that the class average was 77 % and that half of his class failed. So i got mad at him and told him, don't you dare be down on yourself. If the average was 77 % then you did amazing. He finally agreed with me! He has another test coming up on Thursday. Its going to be even bigger than the one from yesterday. This next test is on ten chapters. He is kind of stressing. They started learning the material yesterday. So he has two days to learn and memorize ten chapters. But like always I know that he will do awesome. Its just in his nature to do well.

So if you have the time and don't mind, just pray for him!
We love you all so much and miss you!

Fun at the Park

Ok- Yes I know we go to the park alot. We go every single day actually. But it is the only thing to do around here that doesn't cost any money. The boys love to go, and I love it because it is the one way I can get out of the house.

Sunday with Daddy

Yesterday (sunday) we went to church with Victor. The night before I wanted to make Victor and his friends some cookies (because they all think they are starving to death) So the boys and i wipped up some pretty delicious chocolate chip and walnut cookies. On the way to church i stopped at a gas station and bought a quart of milk and some plastic cups. When i arrived, I stepped out of the car with the plate of cookies in one hand and the milk in the other. I swear it was like bees to hunny. They cleaned the plate. One of Victors battle buddies, his name is Barnes, said all dramatically and a mouth full of cookies and eyes shut "Armenta, your wife is so sweet and so awesome." It was pretty funny to watch these grown men just melt over a few cookies.

After Sacrament meeting the bishop asked if he could talk to Victor while the boys and i went outside. The Bishop asked Victor to be his councelor. Every week he would need Victors help and he would need him to sit on the stand with him. Well he told Victor to talk it over with me. I was so excited for him. But after a few minutes it came to me.... that starting next sunday we wont be attending the "on base" ward. We will be going to our ward with Victor. So Victor told the Bishop what an honor it was for him to think of him but we wouldn't be there any more. It was pretty neat.

The rest of the time we just sat out side & watched the boys play on the grass. And like always it was so hard and so sad to have to say good bye for another whole week. Damon was upset, Skyler cried and the whole way home the both kept saying they wanted their daddy. Which of course brings on my tears. But hopefully starting next saturday he will phase and we will be able to visit him at night during the week and bring him home on saturday and sunday. We are all looking forward to that.

So that was our Sunday. Sorry there aren't any pictures. I left my camera in the car.

We love you all and miss you so much!!!!

Takas Park

Damon likes to "fish" in the little stream. He pulls out moss with a stick and calls it fishing.

Takas Park

During Sky's nap!

For some reason Damon thinks he is getting to old for naps (your never too old if you ask his nana) So him and i play while skyler is asleep. Today we played ninja turtles. I was Leonardo and he was Raphael. We got into a pretty heated sword fight. At the end of it he informed me he had won- even though i clearly kicked his butt.

Home-Made Pizza!

Today for lunch the boys made their own pizza. They thought it was pretty awesome!

Taking Victor Back

We just dropped Victor back of at Fort Sam. It was so sad. The boys cried so hard. Skyler saw him walking away from the car and it sounded like he was going to have a panic attack. He started breathing so hard and heavy and he just bursted into tears. Damon started crying to. He started saying " I want my daddy to come home with me." It was so terribly heart breaking that it made me cry. So all three of us cried the whole way home.

We had such a great time with Victor while he was home. We got so used to having hime around. What a tease!!!!!

I GUESS WE JUST LOVE HIM TOO MUCH!
